Filipe Pires, a PhD student in Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was recognized last Saturday by the Ordem dos Enfermeiros for his oral presentation titled "Characterization of the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Lifestyles and Skills of Adolescents in the Autonomous Region of Madeira."
The distinction of Filipe Pires took place in Fátima, during the III International Nursing Convention, under the theme "Time for Responses." This recognition represents a part of the research he is conducting as part of his PhD in Nursing. In the final stage of his thesis, where he has been researching the processes of Empowering Personal, Social, and Emotional Skills in Adolescents in the School Context, he has produced substantial and meaningful evidence to support health decision-making. He is being supervised by Professora Constança Festas and Professor João Costa Amado.
