Católica Learning Innovation Lab is organizing, on January 15–16, 2026, the Interinstitutional Meeting on Pedagogical Practices in Higher Education | Pedagogical Connections, an initiative integrated within the Centre of Excellence for Pedagogical Innovation – INOV-NORTE. The event aims to provide a space for reflection, sharing, and debate on contemporary challenges in higher education teaching, fostering interinstitutional dialogue and the dissemination of innovative experiences and approaches.

Program highlights:

  • January 15: Panel on Interinstitutional Mapping of Pedagogical Practices: Overview and Priorities; Collaborative Learning workshops; Official Opening Session with Isabel Capeloa Gil (Rector of UCP), Sónia Valente Rodrigues (Coordinator of INOV-NORTE), and Diana Soares (Coordinator of Católica Learning Innovation Lab). Followed by the Thematic Panel and Debate - The Pedagogical Dimension in the Academic Role: Challenges and Perspectives, Launch of INOV-NORTE Ambassadors, and a Conference by Alexandra Mihai (Maastricht University).
  • January 16: Sharing of pedagogical practices within Communities in Action, Roundtable - Network Facilitators, Closing Conference by Linda Evans (University of Manchester), and Closing Session with Isabel Vasconcelos (Vice-Rector for Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation) and Isabel Braga da Cruz (Pro-Rector of UCP).

This initiative is a unique opportunity to reflect, share, and learn from innovative experiences in higher education, reinforcing the commitment of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the Católica Learning Innovation Lab, and the INOV-NORTE consortium to academic excellence and the continuous improvement of teaching practices. We invite all interested participants to join this dialogue and actively contribute to the transformation of teaching and learning in today’s higher education landscape.
