In the context of the project “MAIEC- Community Empowerment and Nursing Decision-Making” based at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Health from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the first congress will be held with the evidence produced in the four domains of the project: “MAIEC and School Communities”, “MAIEC and Hospital Communities”, “MAIEC and Environmental Processes” and “MAIEC and Observatories of Nursing Diagnoses”. Researchers and project collaborators will be the voice of this evidence, in these various contexts.
The Congress will include the International Meeting "Climate Change Challenges: Nursing as Innovation", with distinguished national and international speakers from the field of Biology (Doctor Ulisses Miranda Azeiteiro from the University of Aveiro), Architecture (Doctor Robert Ryan from the University of Massachusetts , EUS), Nursing (Dr. Maria João Costa, FCT fellow at CIIS) and Politics (Dr. Inês Sousa Real, deputy of the PAN). There is also an international conference, given by the world reference in Community Empowerment and Public Health, Dr. Glenn Laverack, from the University of Trento, Italy.
