The School of Nursing in Porto at Universidade Católica Portuguesa welcomed secondary school students for another edition of the Nursing Degree Open Day, an initiative dedicated to presenting the Nursing Undergraduate Programme, the profession, and academic life at the institution.

Throughout the day, participants attended a welcome session featuring presentations from the School of Nursing, the Coordination of the Nursing Degree Programme, the Student Association, and the university campus, providing an overview of the academic offer and university environment.

Prospective applicants also had the opportunity to learn more about the structure of the degree programme, clarify questions regarding the academic pathway, and explore the various professional opportunities associated with Nursing.

The programme also included practical workshops and demonstration activities, allowing participants to engage more closely with the reality of the profession and experience some of the technical skills developed throughout the course.

This initiative aimed to provide students with an immersive and informative experience of the Nursing field, reinforcing the School of Nursing’s commitment to community engagement and to supporting informed vocational choices.
