The nursing education at UCP emerges as a lifelong development project, which includes the different study cycles - bachelor's, master's and doctorate - and post-graduate education of different duration and objectives. The teaching activity in Nursing is based on community-based participatory research, particularly with vulnerable populations, resulting in a service-based learning service to the community.

This Master's Course aims to deepen knowledge and understanding in the respective area of specialization, namely:
- know how to apply knowledge and capacity of understanding and problem solving in new and unfamiliar situations, in broad and multidisciplinary contexts, related to their area of expertise;
- ability to integrate knowledge, deal with complex issues, develop solutions or make judgments in situations of limited or incomplete information, including reflections on the implications and ethical and social responsibilities that result from these solutions and judgments or condition them;
- be able to communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and reasoning underlying them to both experts and non-experts in a clear and unambiguous manner;
- develop skills that allow them to learn throughout their lives, in a fundamentally self-oriented or autonomous way.
